Things to know if you are Weekend Warrior Athletes

If you are a weekend warrior, chances are that you spend a lot of time trying to figure out what equipment to get and how it will help you be better at your sport. You enjoy the thrill of a workout and the endorphin rush that comes with it, but don't feel like you have time to commit to a regular routine. If this sounds like you, we have some tips to help you make the most of your workouts and get the most out of your time.

First things first: Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate, and pace yourselves. Don't overdo it. It may seem tempting to push yourself past your limits during a weekend workout, but if you're not used to exercising it can be dangerous—even if you do have an amazing time! Instead, focus on what feels good for YOU. Try doing just a little bit more than usual each time so that you can build up gradually, rather than trying to jump right into something that may not be good for your body (or even get it damaged).

Take breaks! You can't expect yourself to keep up an intense workout for hours at a time. Your muscles need rest in order to recover from any damage done during exercise and grow stronger. If you try too hard too fast, you'll end up feeling sore or injured instead of energized! So let yourself rest between sets—you'll enjoy your workout more when it's over!

Just like with anything else in life: take things slowly at first, then build up as needed. Your body will thank you later when it doesn't have to deal with all that extra stress!
